Games

The game sessions will last around 45minutes with either 2 teams playing each other or 3/4 teams playing a tournament. The format will generally be 3v3 or 4v4 but may change depending on numbers and the event we are setting up. We have plans to run some 7v7 games. We will try to put the players into teams of a similar level. Its fun with the aim of getting the children extra practice and trying out some of the skills they have been learning at class in a game situation.

The games are a great way to get your child extra practice in a pressure free environment. Play with friends, play with new children from other classes, use skills, score goals and enjoy the game. Win, lose or draw its about the players enjoying games, playing with freedom and creativity.

Our games format will allow your child to get loads of touches may it be scoring loads of goals, taking players 1v1 or blocking and tackling shots. The games will have it all and from a development point of view this will only help them progress even quicker. With the big aim of the players enjoying the process.

In Dumbarton we have been averaging around 70 goals over 3 games sessions (and that is into very small goals).
